Three reasons for corrosion of colored stainless steel sheets

Which factors will corrode the color stainless steel plate? Colored stainless steel sheets are more and more favored by customers in the decoration industry due to their beautiful surface color and excellent mechanical properties. But do you know? In the process of using the color stainless steel plate, it will slowly corrode due to some human and environmental factors, so after a long time, the corroded color stainless steel plate will be irreparably damaged.

Environmental reasons: Colored stainless steel sheet products exposed outdoors in coastal wet areas are the most susceptible to chronic corrosion. Due to the evaporation of seawater, the moist air and rainwater carrying a relatively large amount of salt cover the surface of the color stainless steel plate, and galvanic corrosion will occur. This corrosion process is relatively slow due to the relatively weak environment, and is generally not easy to be detected. But over time, it is irreparable damage.

The reason for the material: "Stainless steel can be divided into many types according to the composition. Generally, the more common types of colored stainless steel plates on the market are divided into 200 series and 300 series. The two most important products are 201 colored stainless steel plates and 304 colored stainless steel plates. Because The difference in nickel content makes the corrosion resistance of 304 color stainless steel plate much higher than that of 201 color stainless steel plate, so 304 color stainless steel plate is the first choice for outdoor use.

Human factors: mainly in the cleaning of color stainless steel products in the later stage. Since the surface of the colored stainless steel plate is contaminated with dust, the glossy color of the surface is significantly worse than that of a clean product. So in the cleaning process, some cleaning products may be used. The current cleaners may be more or less weakly acidic or weakly alkaline, and because these cleaners remain on the surface of the colored stainless steel sheet, some surfaces have been in this weakly acidic or weakly alkaline environment for a long time, making the colored stainless steel The board surface is chronically corroded. Therefore, in daily cleaning, just wipe with a soft cloth dipped in water, try not to use strong detergents with chemical ingredients, if you use detergents, please rinse the surface of the color stainless steel plate with water at the end to remove the residual stains.
