What processing techniques do stainless steel plate manufacturers have?

In fact, stainless steel comes out of the steel factory in whole rolls. The ones we usually see on the street or use at home have been processed by stainless steel plate manufacturers.

In fact, stainless steel comes out of the steel factory in whole rolls. The ones we usually see on the street or use at home have been processed by stainless steel plate manufacturers. The surface of the processed stainless steel plate can be like a mirror, colorful or with various patterns. It is exciting to think about it.

Wire drawing can be said to be the process with the largest processing volume, because it is simple and fast, and can process up to 10,000 sheets in a single day. Brushing is also called frosted in the industry. Its surface has various states. For example, the thickest and longest sand texture is called straight wire, and the sand texture is very fine and snowflake-like, called snowflake sand, etc. Because the brushed stainless steel plate has a special texture, it is very popular in the market.

The colored stainless steel plates we call are actually titanium plated. The machine required for titanium plating is called a titanium furnace, also called a PVD vacuum coating machine. In a vacuum environment, the gas reacts with the surface of the board to produce color on the board. The colors can be many, such as rose gold, sapphire blue, champagne gold, brown, etc.

Mirror surface (also called 8K), mirror surface means that the stainless steel plate is polished by a machine to look like a mirror, which is bright and shiny. Mirror surfaces are also divided into ordinary mirror surfaces and precision-ground mirror surfaces. A good precision-ground mirror stainless steel plate can achieve a 12k effect.

Etching is to use chemicals on the surface of stainless steel to make it appear uneven, or with some text or patterns. Generally, the etched plates have gone through pre-processing. You can do the color first and then etching, or you can etching first and then the color. Sometimes the effect of etching may be similar to that of embossing, but the etched patterns actually are relatively more, and there are no traces of the front patterns on the back of the etched plate.

Fingerprint-free: A layer of oil is attached to the surface of the stainless steel plate and dried to achieve anti-fingerprint and anti-oxidation effects. Generally, those that have been mirrored will not be fingerprint-free, because it will affect the effect of the mirror. It is best not to use fingerprint-free stainless steel plates in places with high temperatures, otherwise they will turn black.
